Although the Rio 2016 Olympics has concluded, the soul-stirring sportsmanship showed by the Olympic players in the process of breaking limits and self-transcendence once again ignites people’s attention and passion for sports. Leading Chinese high-end serviced apartment brand Stanford Residences recently collaborated with Shanghai-renowned international school YK Pao School to jointly create ‘Back to School’ campaign. The activity was aimed at increasing the positive interactions between children & parents and companions through the ‘Family Olympics’, helping them develop a habit of kindness and cooperation with others.
The ‘Family Olympics’ has eight items including long jump, archery, badminton and set shot to name just a few. Twelve families were selected through Stanford Residences’ official WeChat online auditions, families of students from YK Pao School and tenants form Stanford Residences Jing An.
All games, either accuracy and endurance-tested set shot, will power and concentration-required archery or skill and flexibility-needed juggle relay, tested the team spirit of the family members. Children cheered for their parents and parents yelled encouragement for winning from time to time, forming a warm ambience in the blood-and thunder game site. After fighting for an afternoon, a family from XX overcame all difficulties and became the champions of the ‘Family Olympics’ with their great endurance and coordinated cooperation. Meanwhile, families from XX and XX won the second and third places of the event.
Ms. Juliet Wang, Director of Marketing and Communication of YK Pao School, said: “Doing sports plays three important roles to children in fitness, self-discipline and personality shaping. We expect to drive parents to actively participate in, develop and enhance family members’ interest and passion for doing sports through similar family sports events, enabling them to achieve a better physical state, learn to cooperate, share happiness and experience family affection via sports.”
“Doing sports is just like sunshine, air and water, which is the original driver of children’s healthy growth. Parent-child sports can effectively boost affinity between parents and children, enabling better understanding and interaction between them.” Mr. Leo Lee, Associate Director of K. Wah (China) Investment Limited, said, “As an high-end service apartment facing high-end residential families, Stanford Residences expects to create more quality and harmonious life ambience for families through various family activities, and create a good-neighborliness culture for the entire community.”
With activities like ‘Spring Pilates’, ‘Father and Kids’ Photography Campaign and ‘Back to School’, Stanford Residences has been adhering to the idea of ‘Where Enchanted Living Comes Together’ and delivering a healthy and active family lifestyle to Stanford Residences’ and its surrounding residents through integration of all sorts of cultural resources, driving parents to pay more attention to their families and every step of growth by their children.
